Our Process: Research
& Methodology

For five years, LETS co-founder Dr. Daniel Shore (PhD in Workplace Psychology), worked with a team of researchers funded by the Department of Homeland Security to study team dynamics and the efficacy of 100+ highly-dynamic teams and multi-team systems. The findings from their study represent one of the most current and extensive research efforts around team dynamics and multi-team systems.

How We Apply the Research
The work of the DHS-funded research team uncovered 5C’s of cybersecurity teamwork. LETS Professional Development leverages this research for the benefit of your teams and delivers the underlying teamwork tools and techniques through high-impact, low-resistance gamified experiences.

Building Skills From the Ground Up
Dr. Daniel Shore designed the professional development programs for LETS to leverage the research for the benefits of teams and multi-team systems operating in volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous (VUCA) environments. The programs begin by building awareness, competence, and community around the teamwork micro-skills and then progress into cultivating expertise of these skills so that participants can continue to develop past the completion of the program. All of which is assessed initially and tracked over time.
